  • 1 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon baking powder
  • 3/4 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1 large egg
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 6 tablespoons butter, melted
  • Lemon zest (finely grated from 1 lemon)
  • 2 tablespoons fresh lemon juice

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a mixing bowl, combine the flour, sugar, the baking powder and soda, and salt then mix well.

  • Step 2: In a separate bowl, combine sour cream with the egg, melted butter, lemon zest, and 2 tablespoons of lemon juice mix well. Add sour cream mixture into the dry ingredients mix until well moistened.

  • Step 3: Fill greased muffin cups about 2/3 full.

  • Step 4: Bake at 375 for 18 minutes.
