Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 1/2 pound ground beef
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 1/4 cup cornstarch
  • 1/2 cup minced yellow onion
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 2 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1 cup pineapple juice
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 3 tablespoons rice vinegar
  • 1/4 cup water
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar
  • 1 can (14 ounce) crushed pineapple
  • 2 (12 ounces) green bell peppers (ribs removed, seeded and diced)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix together the ground beef, eggs,1 teaspoon cornstarch, onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder and allspice and form not 1" balls.

  • Step 2: Bring the oil to medium high heat in a large skillet and add the meatballs; brown on all sides.

  • Step 3: Meanwhile whisk together the remaining cornstarch, pineapple juice, soy sauce, vinegar, water and brown sugar in a large saucepan; bring to a boil stirring constantly.

  • Step 4: Add the cooked meatballs, crushed pineapple and diced green peppers; reduce heat and cook for 5 minutes.

  • Step 5: Serve with cooked rice.
