Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 pounds cherries (sour cherries ,stoned)
  • 2 quarts water
  • 4 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 lemon
  • 10 cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick
  • 2 star anise
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 1 tablespoon all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 cup dry red wine (it says kadarka, this is optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sugar, wine if your using water and cherries in pot.

  • Step 2: Juice lemon and put cloves in peel and throw in add other spices. Cook 15 minutes until cherries are soft.

  • Step 3: Mix flour into sour cream.

  • Step 4: Takeout spices and peel.

  • Step 5: Add sour cream mixture slowly and simmer for 5 more minutes, don't boil.

  • Step 6: When cool put in frig overnight.

  • Step 7: Serve next day.
