  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 2 Tablespoons butter
  • 2 cups light brown sugar
  • 2 eggs
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons vanilla
  • 2 cups flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1/4 cup semi-sweet chocolate chips

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350F (180C or gas mark 4). Grease and flour an 9x13 baking pan.

  • Step 2: In a large mixing bowl combine all of the butter (1/2 cup plus 2 Tablespoons), brown sugar, eggs and vanilla; mix well.

  • Step 3: Add flour, baking powder and salt; mix well.

  • Step 4: Stir in nuts and chocolate chips. Press dough into prepared pan.

  • Step 5: Bake for 25-30 minutes. Cool in pan before cutting. Enjoy!
