Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups chopped yellow onion (peeled, chopped sweet onion)
  • 4 center-cut (1 1/2 pounds) boneless pork chops (or your choice of pork cuts)
  • 1 large apple (peeled, cored and cut into chunks)
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 4 small (3/4 pounds) potatoes (peeled, cut in half)
  • 1 teaspoon black pepper
  • 500 ml sauerkraut (wine cured, well drained)
  • 1/2 cup unsweetened apple juice
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar (or brown sugar splenda)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Prepare the onion and place on the bottom of the crock pot.

  • Step 2: Add the chops, single layer.

  • Step 3: Add apples, garlic and potatoes.

  • Step 4: Season with the pepper.

  • Step 5: Top with the kraut.

  • Step 6: Pour in the apple juice.

  • Step 7: Sprinkle on the brown sugar.

  • Step 8: Turn crock pot to low for apprx 5 hours.

  • Step 9: Serve & enjoy.
