The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup sugar
  • 2 eggs, beaten
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup dates, chopped
  • 1/2 cup walnuts, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla
  • 2 cups crisp rice cereal
  • 1 1/2 cups coconut.

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine butter, sugar, eggs, salt, dates and walnuts in a broad saucepan.

  • Step 2: Cook over low heat for 10 minutes.

  • Step 3: Remove from heat and add vanilla.

  • Step 4: Cool for 5 minutes and then fold in crisp rice cereal.

  • Step 5: Form into 1” balls and roll into coconut.
