Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups mushrooms (wiped and halved, leave whole if small ones)
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 1/4 cup chopped yellow onion
  • 2 cloves minced garlic
  • 1/4 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • Black pepper (pinch)
  • Turmeric (pinch)
  • 1/2 teaspoon Garam Masala (spice blend)
  • Tandoori Spice (pinch, or regular mild curry powder if you can’t get this)
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh cilantro
  • 1/4 cup heavy cream
  • 1/4 cup chicken bouillon (or veggie if you lean that way)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Wipe mushrooms clean. Halve them if large, otherwise leave whole. Set aside.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, melt butter in non-stick skillet. Add onion, garlic and spices and cook over medium heat for 2-3 minutes. Add mushrooms and continue stirring/cooking until mushrooms are done (about 5 more minutes).

  • Step 3: Lower heat, add bouillon and cream. Simmer on lowest heat possible to slightly thicken.
