Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound fresh cherries
  • 2 1/2 cups water
  • 10 ounces frozen strawberries
  • 3 tablespoons fresh lemon juice
  • 4 1/2 cups granulated sugar
  • 1 package (3 ounce) Sure-Jell

How to Make

  • Step 1: Pit the cherries, then chop.

  • Step 2: Cook until soft, then add strawberries and lemon juice and sugar, mix well. Bring to a full boil, boil hard 1 minute stirring constantly.

  • Step 3: Remove from heat, add sure jell and stir. Skim the foam (this cools it slightly and keeps fruit from floating, this is what recipe says you may need to cook more).

  • Step 4: Ladle into glasses and pour melted paraffin over them makes about 7 glasses (I would put in 1/2 pint jars and waterbath these according to ball instructions).
