  • 2 pounds raw shrimp
  • 2 tablespoons finely chopped yellow onion
  • 2 garlic cloves, crushed
  • 2 tablespoons soy sauce
  • 1/2 cup Mountain Dew soda
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons cornstarch
  • 1 tablespoon water
  • 1/2 cup chopped tomato
  • 1 tablespoon oil

How to Make

  • Step 1: Put oil in skillet. Add crushed cloves garlic and finely diced onion.

  • Step 2: Peel and devein shrimp leaving tails on. Add to pan fry.

  • Step 3: Add fine diced tomatoes, sugar and Mountain Dew or sprite; cook 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: Add cornstarch and water; cook until thick.
