Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef (or turkey)
  • 2 large Roma tomatoes, diced
  • 1 packet taco seasoning (1 packet)
  • 1/2 cup shredded cheddar cheese (more for the top of the tacos)
  • 1é3 cup salsa (medium or mild, green is the best but you can use the red)
  • 8 to 10 taco shells (the hard stand up ones)
  • Optional toppings, use all or one
  • Shredded lettuce,
  • Chopped tomatoes
  • Sour cream
  • Guacamole

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 400 degreesF.

  • Step 2: Brown the beef in a skillet. Drain the fat.

  • Step 3: To the cooked ground beef, stir in diced tomatoes, taco seasoning, 1/2 cup cheddar cheese, and salsa.

  • Step 4: Arrange taco shells (standing up) in a 9x13" pan.

  • Step 5: Fill each shell with the meat mixture, dividing equally until all the meat is used.

  • Step 6: Sprinkle more cheddar cheese over the tops of the filled tacos.

  • Step 7: Bake for 15-20 minutes. Cheese will be melted and the meat hot.

  • Step 8: Top with toppings of choice.
