Step 1: Preheat oil in deep-fat fryer, wok or skillet to 350 degrees F.
Step 2: In a medium bowl combine dry ingredients (flour - salt).
Step 3: In a bowl whisk wet ingredients (mil - oil). Stir wet mixture into dry ingredients.
Step 4: Dip broccoli stalks into batter, coating completely.
Step 5: Add broccoli to oil in batches, being careful not to over crowd, and fry until golden brown (3-5 minutes).
Step 6: Drain on paper towels.
