Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/3 cup butter (melted)
  • 4 cups vanilla wafer crumbs
  • 1 cup candied cherries (green, halved)
  • 1 cup candied cherries, (red, halved)
  • 3/4 cup chopped candied pineapple
  • 3/4 cup chopped dates
  • 1 1/2 cups chopped nuts (any kind you desire)
  • 1 to 1 1/2 cup sweetened flaked coconut
  • 1 can (14 ounce) sweetened condensed milk
  • 1/4 cup Bourbon

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees F. Set oven rack to second-lowest position.

  • Step 2: Pour the melted butter into a 15-inch x 10-inch pan (can use a 13 x 9-inch pan)

  • Step 3: Sprinkle with vanilla wafer crumbs evenly on top.

  • Step 4: Arrange fruits and nuts (and coconut, if using) evenly on top of the crumb mixture; press down gently.

  • Step 5: Combine the sweetened condensed milk with the Bourbon; pour evenly over top of fruit/nut mixture.

  • Step 6: Bake for 25-30 minutes.

  • Step 7: Remove from oven; cool completely.

  • Step 8: Cut in squares.
