  • 2 quarts apple cider
  • 1/2 cup dried apple (slices)
  • 2 tablespoons raisins (golden raisins)
  • 1/4 teaspoons ground cloves
  • 1 cinnamon stick (broken into pieces)
  • 2 tablespoons lemon juice
  • 2 tablespoons butter (chilled and cut into 8 pieces)
  • 8 cinnamon sticks

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large saucepan bring the first 5 ingredients (apple cider - cinnamon stick(broken)) to a simmer over medium heat; cover and simmer for 15 minutes.

  • Step 2: Stir in lemon juice.

  • Step 3: Ladle into mugs; float butter cube on top of each mug and garnish with cinnamon sticks.
