Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 3/4 cups granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 3/4 cup eggnog (commercial eggnog)
  • 1 package (12 ounce) white chocolate chips (use a premium brand)
  • 1/2 teaspoon grated nutmeg
  • 1 jar (7 ounce) marshmallow creme
  • 3 tablespoons rum (Captain Morgan's spiced rum or 1 teaspoon rum extract)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a heavy-bottomed saucepan, bring the sugar, butter and eggnog to a full boil. Continue to boil for 8 to 10 minutes over medium heat, stirring constantly to prevent scorching. Remove from heat and immediately stir in the white chocolate chips and the grated nutmeg, stirring until the chocolate is melted.

  • Step 2: Add marshmallow creme and the rum or rum extract; mix vigorously with a spoon until well blended.

  • Step 3: Pour into a buttered 8 or 9-inch square pan.

  • Step 4: Cool at room temperature, then cut into squares.

  • Step 5: Store in an airtight container in the refrigerator. May be frozen for up to three weeks.
