Step 1: Arrange half the tomatoes, cut side down, on a baking sheet and drizzle with olive oil.
Step 2: Broil on top rack until skin starts to bubble.
Step 3: Cool and drain.
Step 4: Place all tomatoes, fresh and cooked, along with the parsley and lime juice in a large bowl and process with an immersion blender until desired consistency is achieved.
Step 5: Stir in garlic, green pepper, jalapeƱo pepper, onions, cumin, paprika, hot pepper flakes, salt and hot sauce.
Step 6: Refrigerate for a couple of hours before serving.
Step 7: Serve with nachos or baked pita wedges.
