Step 1: Preheat oven to 200 degrees, tear bread into cubes and place on baking sheet in oven to dry out. (Or leave bread cubes out, loosely covered, overnight to dry out.)
Step 2: Melt butter in heavy skillet over medium heat, then saute onion until just softened. Add raisins, parsley and sage.
Step 3: Remove bread cubes from oven and add to pan. Combine egg, cream and broth and add to pan, stirring gently.
Step 4: Continue to cook until done to your liking.
