Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 bread slices (cubed, don't use storebought stuffing cubes)
  • 1/3 cup butter
  • 1 yellow onion (diced)
  • 1 cup raisins (golden)
  • 1/2 cup chopped parsley
  • 1 pinch dried sage
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons cream
  • 1/4 cup broth

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 200 degrees, tear bread into cubes and place on baking sheet in oven to dry out. (Or leave bread cubes out, loosely covered, overnight to dry out.)

  • Step 2: Melt butter in heavy skillet over medium heat, then saute onion until just softened. Add raisins, parsley and sage.

  • Step 3: Remove bread cubes from oven and add to pan. Combine egg, cream and broth and add to pan, stirring gently.

  • Step 4: Continue to cook until done to your liking.
