Step 1: Separate eggs into 2 bowls. Beat yolks and sugar until creamy, add milk and cream til sugar is dissolved.
Step 2: Whip egg whites til stiff, adding sugar as needed (around 3 tablespoons).
Step 3: Pour first mixture over half of ice cream, then fold in egg whites, then spoon in remaining ice cream. Sprinkle nutmeg on top.
Step 4: Liquor can either be added to eggnog in a punchbowl, or preferably, combined in a separate pitcher so it can be added to individual servings as desired.
