  • 1 (1 pound) French bread (baguette)
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (more or less)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Slice bread into 1/1" slices, on an angle so the surface area is as wide as possible.

  • Step 2: Place olive oil in a small shallow bowl, like a cereal bowl.

  • Step 3: Lightly dip each side of bread in oil and place on a cookie sheet.

  • Step 4: Broil until golden, flip and broil other side.

  • Step 5: Watch carefully! These can go from not done to burnt in an instant.
