  • The following recipe serves 8 people.

Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 iceberg lettuce head
  • 2 pounds ground beef
  • 1 onion, large (diced)
  • 1 bell pepper (diced)
  • 2 medium tomatoes, diced
  • Nacho chips (1 bag cheese flavored doritos, crushed up in pieces)
  • 4 ounces salad dressing, French (bottled, use half small bottle)
  • 4 ounces salad dressing, Thousand Island (bottled, use half small bottle)
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded
  • 15 ounces black beans (one 15 ounce can, drained and rinsed)
  • Taco seasoning mix (one 1 1/4 ounce package, I make my own see recipe here http://www.recipezazz.com/recipe/taco-seasoning)
  • Sliced jarred jalapenos (your choice of how many)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Brown ground beef with onion and bell pepper. Drain and add seasoning packet and water or spices if you are making your own. Set aside to cool meat.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl, add chopped lettuce, tomatoes, beans, both bottles of dressings, cooled hamburger, jalapenos and cheese. Stir well to coat everything. Chill salad until ready to serve. DO NOT add the the doritos yet!!

  • Step 3: When you are ready to serve the salad, add the crumbled doritos and serve with salsa and sour cream!

  • Step 4: If you like it creamier, by all means, add more of the dressings...
