Step 1: Preheat oven to 475 Fahrenheit.
Step 2: Cut potatoes in half lengthwise, cut each half into 4 pieces (or cut into traditional french fry shape).
Step 3: Soak in cold water for 30 minutes, drain and blot dry. (This removes some of the starch and helps prevent clumping. Skip this step if you prefer.)
Step 4: Place potato pieces into a large bowl, pour oil over potatoes and stir well to coat all pieces.
Step 5: Arrange on a baking tray in a single layer, sprinkle with paprika and bake for 20 minutes, turning after 12 minutes to brown the other side.
Step 6: Sprinkle with salt and enjoy.
