Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 potatoes, medium, boiled, mashed and slightly cooled
  • 425 grams tuna, cooked, in water, drained
  • 1/2 cup breadcrumbs, fresh
  • 1 egg, large, lightly beaten
  • 1/2 cup coriander leaves, fresh, finely chopped
  • 1 teaspoon cumin, ground
  • 1 teaspoon coriander, ground
  • 1/4 teaspoon cinnamon, ground
  • 1 tablespoon olive oil
  • 1/2 cup yogurt (natural yogurt)
  • 1 teaspoon lemon rind, finely grated

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the cooled mashed potato, drained tuna, breadcrumbs, egg, half the coriander and spices. Mix together well.

  • Step 2: Form into 8 patties and refrigerate for 15 minutes.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in a frying pan over medium heat, cook for 3-4 minutes on each side or until golden.

  • Step 4: Combine yoghurt, lemon rind and remaining coriander in a small bowl, mixing well.

  • Step 5: Serve the patties with yoghurt sauce and a nice crisp salad.
