Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound cooked crab (chopped into small pieces)
  • 1 cup mayonnaise
  • 1 whole lemon
  • 2 tablespoons minced sweet onion
  • 1 garlic clove, minced
  • 1/4 cup chopped fresh parsley
  • 1/2 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 1/4 teaspoon kosher salt
  • 1/8 teaspoon fresh ground pepper
  • 4 leaves green leaf lettuce
  • 2 tomatoes, sliced
  • 2 large avocados, ripe

How to Make

  • Step 1: In bowl, combine crab, mayo, 1/2 lemon, onion, clove and spices. Taste and adjust seasonings. Chill for 2 hours in bowl just large enough to hold.

  • Step 2: On platter, arrange lettuce, slice tomato and avocado, squeezing remaining lemon over avocado. When ready to serve, place crab meat in center of platter by overturning bowl, then surround with tomato and avocado slices.

  • Step 3: You can change this up by using lime juice, chili powder and cumin.
