Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • BURGERS
  • 1 tablespoon Cajun seasoning
  • 1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
  • 1/2 cup panko crumbs
  • 1/4 cup grated carrot (do not squeeze out the moisture)
  • 3 clove garlic, minced
  • 1 green onion, minced
  • 1/2 teaspoon seasoning salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 pounds ground chicken (a mix of dark and white meat)
  • Hot sauce
  • Crumbled blue cheese
  • 3 to 4 bread buns (split in half, you will only use one half of the bun for each burger)
  • BLUE CHEESE SLAW
  • Prepared coleslaw mix (1 regular-size package)
  • 2 green onions, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon celery seeds
  • 1/2 grated grated carrot (large grated)
  • 1/2 cup blue cheese salad dressing (prepared)
  • Salt & pepper, to taste

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine Slaw ingredients; mix well. Refrigerate until needed.

  • Step 2: In a large bowl combine the first 7 burger ingredients. Add chicken and hot sauce and stir until well combined. Shape into 6 patties or 8 smaller patties.

  • Step 3: Preheat grill to medium high. Grill patties, turning once, until meat thermometer reads 175F. Remove from heat and let stand 5 minutes.

  • Step 4: ASSEMBLE: Put a spoonful of slaw on each bun half, then top with a burger, hot sauce and some crumbled Blue cheese. Use a fork to eat these because there is no bun top!

  • Step 5: Serve with remaining Slaw.
