Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 pounds fresh boneless pork ribs (country-style)
  • Seasoning salt, to taste
  • Onion powder, to taste
  • Garlic powder, to taste
  • Ground pepper, to taste
  • 1 cup barbecue sauce

  • Tabasco sauce (2 dashes)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Rinse ribs, pat dry and season, rubbing spices in by hand. I use equal parts of the onion and garlic powder and pepper, and a little less seasoning salt.

  • Step 2: Mix together barbecue sauce, jam and tabasco and brush over ribs (unless cooking on the stove). Choose a cooking style, but cooking time will depend on size of ribs. Check doneness periodically.

  • Step 3: Grill: Barbecue on grill, turning and basting often until done. Cooking time will depend on your grill.

  • Step 4: Crock Pot: Preheat crock pot to high, spray with nonstick cooking spray. Add ribs and turn down to low for 6-8 hours.

  • Step 5: Bake: Preheat oven to 300 degrees. Spray pryex dish with nonstick cooking spray and place ribs in dish. Cover tightly with aluminum foil and bake for 2 hours. Then uncover and increase temperature to 350 degrees. Baste with sauce and bake 20 more minutes.

  • Step 6: Stove Top: This only works if you have a very low simmer and a heavy pot. Sear ribs in heavy covered pot on stove top starting on medium, then baste, cover and reduce heat to lowest setting. Cook 45 minutes, then remove lid and continue cooking to reduce juices. Baste ribs with extra sauce as needed. Your stove may take more or less than mine.
