  • 3 tablespoons oil (vegetable oil)
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons molasses
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup milk
  • 1/2 cup club soda
  • 1 cup all-purpose flour
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/2 teaspoon baking powder
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/4 teaspoon groundclove
  • 1 cup oat bran
  • 1/4 cup chopped walnuts

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat lightly oiled griddle over medium-high heat.

  • Step 2: Whisk together the wet ingredients. In separate bowl whisk together dry ingredients except oat bran and walnuts. Mix wet and dry together, then stir in oat bran and walnuts.

  • Step 3: Pour about 1/4 cup for each pancake. Once large bubbles form and begin to pop, turn pancakes and cook until golden brown on other side.

  • Step 4: Serve immediately or keep on oven-proof platter in oven at 170 degrees.
