Step 1: First: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Combine all ingredients except Kahlua and heat over medium-high heat to 260 degrees, using a candy thermometer, stirring frequently.
Step 2: Meanwhile, cover a cookie sheet with aluminum foil and grease lightly.
Step 3: Second: Stir in pecans and transfer to cookie sheet, spreading pecans out to a single layer. Use two cookie sheets if needed.
Step 4: Third: Bake 15 minutes, remove from oven and sprinkle with remaining salt.
Step 5: Let cool a few minutes, then separate pecans from foil and from each other. I do this by lifting up the edges of the foil and tossing the pecans so the salt gets evenly distributed.
