Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Recipe uses a 9 x 13 pyrex dish, do not grease.
Step 2: Blend crust with pastry cutter until fine crumbs. Pat into dish and sprinkle pecans over.
Step 3: Put caramel layer ingredients into a saucepan and bring to a boil over medium heat, stirring constantly. Cook for one full minute at a full boil, stirring. Pour over the pecans.
Step 4: Bake for 20 minutes and remove from oven. Be careful not to overbake. Immediately sprinkle chocolate chips on top. When chips have melted, spread evenly over the crust.
