  • 1 cup butter
  • 1 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 2 3/4 cups all-purpose flour
  • 2 teaspoons cream of tartar
  • 1 teaspoon baking soda
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • SUGAR MIXTURE
  • 3 tablespoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees, place cookie sheets in fridge. Do not grease.

  • Step 2: In mixer, cream butter, sugar and eggs. In separate bowl, whisk dry ingredients.

  • Step 3: Mix dry ingredients into butter mixture. Chill dough for 10-15 minutes in the fridge. Combine sugar and cinnamon in a cereal bowl.

  • Step 4: Make 1" balls and roll in cinnamon sugar, place on chilled cookie sheets and bake 10-11 minutes. Remove from pan immediately.

  • Step 5: (I like them baked 11 minutes because I like them slightly crispy. Hubby prefers them at only 10 minutes.)
