Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 teaspoons oil, divided (olive oil)
  • 1 pound chicken sausage, cooked (or pork sausages), cut into 1/2" diagonal slices
  • 4 medium apples (tart, peeled, quartered, and cut into 1/2 inch wedges)
  • 1/4 teaspoon black pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 2 tablespoons maple syrup

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat 2 teaspoons of the oil in large nonstick frying pan over medium heat. Add sausage and cook, turning often, until lightly browned, about 6 minutes. Remove from pan.

  • Step 2: Add the remaining 2 teaspoons oil to pan. Add the apple, pepper, and thyme and drizzle with syrup. Cook, tossing often, until tender, 12 to 14 minutes.

  • Step 3: Return sausage slices to pan and toss to heat through.
