Step 1: Preheat oven to 350 degrees. Grease a cookie sheet.
Step 2: In large bowl, cream butter with both the sugars. Beat in in egg and vanilla. Scrape sides and whip until light and fluffy.
Step 3: Stir all dry ingredients together in a small bowl, then add to creamed mix, stirring until incorporated.
Step 4: Stir in chocolate chips into dough.
Step 5: Scoop onto cookie sheet.
Step 6: Bake 8-9 minutes. Cool cookies on the baking sheet, then remove to cool completely. Store in an airtight container for up to 3 days.
