Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • Canola or vegetable oil, for frying
  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 1 tablespoon granulated cinnamon
  • 2 cans (16.3 ounce each) refrigerated buttermilk biscuits (use the Pillsbury Grands! Homestyle refrigerated buttermilk biscuits)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat about 2-inches of cooking oil in a large pot to 350 degrees.

  • Step 2: In a shallow bowl, stir together the sugar and ground cinnamon, set aside.

  • Step 3: Lay out the biscuits on a cutting board . Using a 1-1/2-inch round cookie or biscuit cutter, cut out a hole from the middle of each biscuit.

  • Step 4: Fry them in the oil until golden and then flip with tongs to fry the other side. You can also fry the cut outs to make donut holes.

  • Step 5: Drain on paper towels and then toss in the cinnamon-sugar.
