Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 pound bacon
  • 1 medium yellow onion, chopped
  • 4 garlic cloves, fine minced
  • 1/2 pound ground Italian sausage
  • 1 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon ground pepper
  • 2 teaspoons granulated sugar
  • 1 teaspoon Worcestershire sauce
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 can (6 ounce) tomato paste
  • 1 can (8 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 1/4 cup sliced olives, optional
  • Pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large pot or skillet, brown the sausage with onion and garlic.

  • Step 2: Add remaining ingredients except for olives and simmer, covered for about 1 hour or more (add olives the last 15 minutes of cooing time and season with pepper and more salt if you need to).

  • Step 3: Serve over cooked spaghetti.
