Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3 large eggs
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons cornflour (corn starch)
  • 1 1/4 cups milk
  • 1 teaspoon vanilla essence
  • Ground nutmeg
  • 1 (9 inch) unbaked pastry shell

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 200 degree Celsius.

  • Step 2: Mix eggs and sugar till thick and creamy.

  • Step 3: Combine cornflour, milk and vanilla essence and slowly add to egg and sugar mix beating as you do so.

  • Step 4: Spoon mixture into pastry shell and sprinkle with ground nutmeg.

  • Step 5: Bake at 200 degree Celsius for 10 minutes, reduce heat to 180 degree Celsius and bake for a further 20 to 25 minutes. Skewer inserted at centre should come out clean.
