Ingredients

  • 2 cups dry elbow macaroni
  • 2 tablespoons butter
  • 2 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 cups half and half (or evaporated milk)
  • 3/4 pound Velveeta cheese, cubed
  • Salt & pepper

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cook macaroni according to the package directions.

  • Step 2: Meanwhile, in a large nonstick skillet, melt butter over medium heat.

  • Step 3: Stir in flour until smooth. Gradually add cream; bring to a boil. Cook and stir for 2 minutes or until thickened. Reduce heat to low and stir in the Velveeta cheese until melted.

  • Step 4: Drain macaroni; add to cheese mixture. Cook and stir for 3-4 minutes or until heated through.

  • Step 5: Add salt and pepper. Remove from heat and serve.
