Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup lemon juice
  • 8 grams bouillon powder (chicken stock powder, 2 teaspoons)
  • 1 tablespoon cornflour
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon brown sugar
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 to 2 red chiles (we use small birds eyes)
  • 1 teaspoon grated fresh ginger
  • 1 teaspoon hot chili sauce (we use Fountains) (optional)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Finely slice chilies.

  • Step 2: Put dried ingredients (stock powder. corn flour and brown sugar) in a pot and mix together well, add honey, chillies, lemon and sauce if using and then slowly add water (or fresh stock then omit stock powder) and mix well together.

  • Step 3: Put on stove over a medium heat and stir continuously until thick.
