Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup granulated sugar
  • 1/2 cup butter
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 1/2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons baking soda
  • 1 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/4 teaspoon cloves
  • 1 teaspoon ground ginger
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 cup molasses
  • 1 cup hot water
  • TOPPING
  • 1/2 cup whipping cream
  • 1 tablespoon molasses
  • 2 tablespoons chocolate syrup

How to Make

  • Step 1: Cream butter and sugar. Add egg.

  • Step 2: Sift dry ingredients, add alternately with water and molasses.

  • Step 3: Put in greased and floured 9x13 pan.

  • Step 4: Whip topping put on top before baking(I'm going to try just a small section on this part there were typos) The booklet doesn't have this, I'm thinking its the whipped topping for after its baked.

  • Step 5: Bake350 oven for 35 minutes.
