Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 cups dry white rice (long grain, cooked, made ahead and refrigerated until completely cold, rice should be measured 2 cups dry before cooking)
  • 1 to 2 teaspoons sesame oil
  • 2 tablespoons vegetable oil
  • 1/3 cup yellow onion, chopped (one small)
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 2 cups cooked ham, diced (instead use shrimp, chicken, or a combination of all 3)
  • Diced veggies, optional (or peas - optional)
  • 4 large eggs (well beaten)
  • Soy sauce
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat sesame oil and vegetable oil in a LARGE wok over medium-high heat and stir in onion. When onions become clear and light brown, add garlic. When garlic is lightly browned, add ham and cook for about 3-4 minutes or until ham is nice and hot.

  • Step 2: Add veggies (of your choice)and cook until veggies are tender. Stir in beaten egg and cook until egg is scrambled and firm.

  • Step 3: When rice is done, add to skillet and mix in thoroughly. Stir in soy sauce (we use just enough to get it LIGHT brown, you don't want to add to much... remember, you can always add more later when it's on your plate, but you can't take it away if you use too much!) Serve immediately.
