Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/2 cup margarine (room temperature or could use butter)
  • 1/2 cup vegetable shortening
  • 4 cups powdered sugar (1 lb)
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/2 teaspoon butter flavoring (or vanilla extract)
  • 3 tablespoons whipping cream (or enough to the consistancy that you want)
  • 1/3 cup Oreo cookies (finely crushed)

How to Make

  • Step 1: In the bowl of your standing mixer fitted with the paddle attachment (or using a hand mixer) cream the butter and shortening on medium-high speed until light and fluffy, about 2-3 minutes.

  • Step 2: Reduce the mixer speed to low and add the powdered sugar, about 1/2 cup at a time, until thoroughly mixed. Add salt, butter flavoring and cream (start with 3 tablespoons) adding in more until you reach desired consistancy. Add Oreo crumbs; mix well.
