Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 1/2 cups cornflakes, coarsely crushed
  • 1/2 cup butter, melted
  • 4 1/2 cups green cabbage, shredded (I use a really small head of cabbage)
  • 1 small yellow onion, chopped
  • Salt
  • Pepper
  • 1 can (10 3/4 ounces) condensed cream of celery soup, undiluted
  • 1 cup half and half
  • 1/2 cup mayonnaise
  • 1/2 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 2 cups cheddar cheese, shredded

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a small bowl, toss cornflakes with butter; sprinkle half into a greased 13-in. x 9-in. baking dish.

  • Step 2: Layer with cabbage, onion, salt and pepper. In a large bowl, combine the soup with light cream, mayonnaise and garlic powder until smooth. Spoon over top; sprinkle with cheese and remaining cornflake mixture.

  • Step 3: Bake uncovered at 350 degrees for 45-50 minutes or until golden brown.
