Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground beef
  • 1/4 teaspoon salt
  • 1/4 teaspoon pepper
  • 1/4 teaspoon nutmeg
  • 1/8 teaspoon allspice
  • 1 large egg
  • 2 tablespoons yellow onions, finely chopped
  • 2 to 4 bread slices (dampened)
  • 1/4 cup oil
  • 3 tablespoons all-purpose flour
  • 1 cup water
  • 1 can (16 ounce) evaporated milk
  • 8 ounces sour cream
  • 1 bag (16 ounce) egg noodles (extra wide)
  • 3 tablespoons butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Mix the meat, seasonings, egg and onion.

  • Step 2: Wet the bread with water before adding it to meat. Mush it all together and form little meat balls.

  • Step 3: Heat oil in frying pan and add meatballs. Don't move them to much or they will break. When brown on both sides, take out.

  • Step 4: Brown flour in same frying pan. Add water and canned milk to make gravy.

  • Step 5: Simmer for 20 minutes.

  • Step 6: In another pan while the balls are simmering.

  • Step 7: Make the egg noodles according to package directions; drain and add butter. and 1/2 the sour cream.

  • Step 8: Add 1/2 the 8 ounces of sour cream to the meatballs at very end.

  • Step 9: Serve over warm buttered sour creamed egg noodles.
