  • PASTRY
  • 2 cups all-purpose flour
  • 8 ounces butter (salted)
  • 2 tablespoons sour cream
  • FILLING
  • 16 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 large eggs
  • 1 cup sour cream
  • 2 tablespoons butter (melted)
  • 1/2 teaspoon salt
  • 1 teaspoon granulated sugar
  • 1 egg yolk, beaten

How to Make

  • Step 1: Sift flour into a bowl.

  • Step 2: Cut in butter.

  • Step 3: Mix in sour cream.

  • Step 4: Form into a ball, wrap, and refrigerate at least 2 hours.

  • Step 5: Preheat oven to 375° F.

  • Step 6: Beat cream cheese until soft.

  • Step 7: Add eggs and beat until light and fluffy.

  • Step 8: Mix in sour cream, butter, salt and sugar.

  • Step 9: Place dough on lightly flour surface and roll out to 1/8" thickness.

  • Step 10: Cut out in 3" circles.

  • Step 11: Place 2 teaspoons of cheese mixture in the center of each circle.

  • Step 12: Pinch sides together to form cups open at the top.

  • Step 13: Brush with beaten egg yolk.

  • Step 14: Place on baking sheet.

  • Step 15: Bake until lightly browned, about 20 minutes.
