  • 1 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 large eggs
  • 3/4 cup buttermilk
  • 1 cup huckleberries
  • Topping
  • 3/4 cup granulated sugar
  • 2 tablespoons grated orange rind
  • 1/2 cup melted butter

How to Make

  • Step 1: Preheat oven to 375° F.

  • Step 2: Combine flour, baking powder, baking soda, salt, nutmeg and cloves. Set aside.

  • Step 4: Stir in flour mixture alternately with buttermilk.

  • Step 5: Fold in berries.

  • Step 6: Pour into greased muffin tins.

  • Step 9: Dip tops of warm muffins in melted butter, then in sugar mixture.
