Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 2 tablespoons olive oil (virgin olive oil)
  • 1 shallot (chopped)
  • 1 bacon strip (diced)
  • 1 1/2 cups chicken stock (or vegetable stock)
  • 1 cup couscous (pearl)
  • Salt and pepper to taste
  • 1 cup peas (frozen)
  • 3 tablespoons grated parmesan cheese (finely grated)
  • 1 teaspoon butter
  • 4 tablespoons fresh chopped parsley
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat oil over medium heat in a saucepan. Add onions and bacon and cook for 3 minutes, stirring continually. Do not brown.

  • Step 2: Pour in chicken or vegetable stock and stir while bringing to a boil. When boiling, add in the couscous and salt and pepper and stir. Keep at a low simmer

  • Step 3: Add in peas and cover your saucepan and cook for about 10 minutes. You may have to add a bit more stock during the 10 minutes. You don't want it to dry out before its cooked. Before serving add in the parmesan, butter and parsley and Enjoy
