  • 1 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 3 cups all purpose flour
  • 1 large egg
  • FOR FILLING
  • 360 grams pecan halves (3 cups)
  • 3/4 cup butter
  • 1/2 cup honey (liquid honey)
  • 3/4 cup brown sugar, lightly packed
  • 1/4 cup whipping cream

How to Make

  • Step 1: Crust: Combine all ingredients in a food processor or with an electric mixer until blended.

  • Step 2: Press evenly into 15"X10" jelly roll pan. Bake at 350F for 15 minutes

  • Step 3: Filling: spread pecan halves evenly over crust.Take time to place pecans right side up

  • Step 4: In large heavy saucepan,melt butter and honey. Add brown sugar and boil 5-7 minutes stirring constantly until a rich golden colour

  • Step 5: Remove from heat and stir in cream. Mix well and pour over pecans(base).

  • Step 6: Bake 15 minutes longer. Cool and cut into bars
