Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 8 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 8 ounces goat cheese (chevre)
  • 2 1/2 tablespoons chives, chopped
  • Salt, to taste
  • Ground black pepper, to taste
  • 12 white bread slices (just use regular sandwich bread, crusts removed)
  • 12 ounces fresh asparagus spears (trimmed and blanched)

How to Make

  • Step 1: Add the cream cheese and goat cheese in the bowl of a small food processor and process until smooth. Stir in the chives. Season with salt & pepper.

  • Step 2: Spread the cheese mixture over half of the bread slices. Press the asparagus into the cheese and sandwich with the remaining bread.

  • Step 3: Cut each sandwich into triangles.

  • Step 4: Serve immediately or cover and chill until your ready to serve them.
