Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 3.5 pound whole chicken
  • 2 carrots, diced
  • 1 tablespoon garlic powder
  • 1 green bell pepper, diced
  • 1/3 cup brown rice
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder
  • 1 can (16 ounce) tomato sauce
  • 3 garlic cloves
  • 1 teaspoon pepper
  • 6 cups water
  • 1 tablespoon cider vinegar
  • 1 onion, minced
  • 2 tablespoons oil (olive oil)
  • 1 bay leaf

How to Make

  • Step 1: In large stock pot heat oil.A dd onion, carrots and green pepper, saute.

  • Step 2: Add rice, chili and pepper, saute.

  • Step 3: Add garlic, saute.

  • Step 4: Add water, garlic powder, tomato sauce, chicken, bay leaf and vinegar. Cook for 1 hour covered until chicken is done.

  • Step 5: Take chicken out and debone add chunks of chicken back inches.

  • Step 6: Remove bay leaves.
