Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1/4 cup olive oil (extra virgin)
  • 2 to 3 garlic cloves, smashed
  • 6 ounces sliced bread (6 slices stale Italian bread, cut into 1/4 inch dice, crusts may be removed if preferred, but I like to keep them on)
  • Kosher salt
  • Parmesan cheese (optional, to taste)
We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Heat olive oil in a large saute pan over medium-high heat,

  • Step 2: Add the garlic and cook for 3 minutes, to flavor the oil, being careful not to burn the garlic. (garlic may be removed or left in, up to individual taste. But if left in be very careful not to burn garlic).

  • Step 3: Add the bread cubes and toss to coat. Saute until golden brown on all sides and crisped up.

  • Step 4: Season lightly with salt.

  • Step 5: Sprinkle parmesan over hot croutons of desired.
