Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground pork
  • 1 cup milk
  • 2 onions, finely chopped

  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cinnamon
  • 1/2 teaspoon ground cloves

We recommend you get your ingredients ready before you start cooking. Once you're ready, here are the steps to making this delicious recipe

How to Make

  • Step 1: Combine the pork, milk, onions, and garlic in a saucepan and cook over medium-low heat.

  • Step 2: Simmer, stirring frequently with a wooden spoon, for about 45 minutes, adding a bit of water if necessary to allow simmering without sticking. (You want the mixture to be moist with just a bit of liquid to absorb the bread crumbs)

  • Step 3: Mash with a potato masher to break apart any big chunks.

  • Step 4: Add the cinnamon, cloves, salt and pepper and continue simmering for about 15 minutes more.

  • Step 5: Add bread crumbs and mix well.

  • Step 6: Cool completely and place in a container, packing the mixture down tightly; cover and refrigerate until ready to eat.

  • Step 7: Serve cold as a spread for crusty bread or crackers.

  • Step 8: This freezes well for future use.
