Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 4 to 5 cups water (or vegetable stock)
  • 1 cup dry lima beans (baby lima, soaked overnight and drained, or use 2 cups frozen lima beans)
  • 1/2 cup yellow onions, chopped
  • 1 cup corn kernels
  • 1/2 cup carrots, chopped
  • 1 celery stalk, finely chopped
  • 1/3 cup dry pearl barley
  • 1 clove garlic, chopped
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt
  • Black pepper, to taste
