Ingredients

The ingredients are:
  • 1 pound ground chuck
  • 1/3 cup onions, chopped (frozen chopped onions)
  • 1 1/2 teaspoons garlic powder, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon ground black pepper, or to taste
  • 1 teaspoon seasoned salt (divided in 1/4 teaspoons or just sprinkle desired amount over each burger)
  • 4 bacon slices (cooked until slightly crisp)
  • 4 cheese slices (I used American Cheese singles)
  • Additional Burger Toppings:
  • 4 Lettuce leaves
  • 4 Tomato slices
  • 4 teaspoons Mayo,divided

How to Make

  • Step 1: In a large bowl, add meat, onion, garlic powder, and pepper.

  • Step 2: Mix well, but do not over mix, if over mixed, meat will dry out during cooking.

  • Step 3: Preheat large cast iron skillet over medium heat.

  • Step 4: Divide meat mixture into 4 equal portions and flatten into 1/4 inch patties.

  • Step 5: Put a thumb-sized hole in middle, this method will ensure even cooking.

  • Step 6: Add burgers to skillet; sprinkle each patty with 1/4 teaspoon seasoned salt.

  • Step 7: Cook on each side till desired internal temperature is reached and a slight crust is on burger.

  • Step 8: Place a cheese slice and two bacon halves on each patty; let cheese slightly melt.

  • Step 9: Then dress burger with favorite toppings.
